Getting Started

The first step to Getting Started is to read the About Us section to get an Overview of the Crossfit Program. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and professional rugby players. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

1ST Step: Free Intro Session
This is a session, in which we will evaluate your fitness level. Come in 5-10 min early and fill out the Waiver and Intro form. We’ll take you through a specialized warm-up to start the evaluation process. Next, skill training, to evaluate the level of training you will need, and finally, the workout. After which we’ll go over the next course of action for you and the answer any question you might have.  Call Michael on 085 1599 410 to arrange your free session or visit our contact page to contact us by email.

2nd Step:Crossfit 101
CrossFit utilizies a broad range of multi-joint functional movements from three different modalities: weightlifting, gymnastics, and monostructural (commonly known as cardio). We introduce you to the fundamental exercises (Squat, Pull-up, Deadlift, Sumo Deadlift High Pull, Medicine Ball Clean, Shoulder Press, Push Press, Push Jerk and others) in our Crossfit101.
CrossFit 101 is a required course for all new members and classes are small to allow for personalized instruction.
Each CrossFit 101 class is an instruction focused one-hour session. We cultivate an environment to learn, ask questions, and explore movement. You will develop safe technique with the fundamental barbell lifts and body weight movements we use in our training program. You will learn how to read and understand the daily “WOD”, workout-of-the-day, and how a class flows from beginning to end. In each class, we start with mobility work, then move into instruction for the movements of that day, followed by practice, and then with a short high-intensity conditioning session at the end.

Each week, there are three distinct lessons covered in 101. Monday – Tuesday covers Lesson One, Friday covers Lesson Two. CrossFit 101 has a total of 8 lessons and is 4 weeks long.

201: Intermediate CrossFit
Completion of personal training, CrossFit 101, or a movement assessment is required before participation in classes.
In our appointment-only CrossFit 201 classes, you will work in a group to accomplish the daily training program. Everything in a class, from the warm-ups, to the skill work, the workouts, the targeted mobility work, are all intentionally programmed everyday. You will be constantly challenged and you will be taught exercises that reflect movements in real life and sport.

1 to 1 Personal program design
Most clients begin with personal training for a series of 12 sessions. This is where you will work with your trainer to build your general fitness base and gain familiarity with our movements. You will find the greatest success with personal training if your needs or goals include:
• weight loss and improved body composition
• extra accountability
• you have generally been sedentary
• you are new to exercise
• you are referred to us by a physician, physical therapist or chiropractor
• you have specific performance oriented goals (triathlon, basketball, etc.)
• you have significant health or orthopedic issues
Your trainer will tailor workouts specifically for your current fitness level and progress you at the proper pace for you. Following your initial 12 sessions you may then choose to continue with private training or progress into our Elements group class.
*Individuals with significant health or orthopedic issues will remain
